Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1 – UK / Ireland → Lima

Depart from the UK or Ireland on an overnight flight to Lima.
Overnight: Night on board

Day 2 – Arrive Lima

Arrive in Lima, Peru’s coastal capital, and transfer to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure exploring colonial streets, lively plazas and the city’s vibrant atmosphere.

Day 3 – Lima City Tour

Enjoy a guided half-day tour of Lima, exploring the districts of Miraflores and San Isidro before visiting the Historic Centre. Highlights include the Santo Domingo Convent, Plaza de Armas and Parque del Amor, offering beautiful views over the Pacific coastline.
Overnight: Lima

Day 4 – Lima → Cusco → Sacred Valley

Fly to Cusco and continue into the Sacred Valley. En route, stop at the Sulca Textile Museum to see traditional Andean weaving techniques preserved across generations. The remainder of the day is free to relax and enjoy the surrounding mountain scenery.

Day 5 – Sacred Valley → Machu Picchu → Sacred Valley

Travel by train to Aguas Calientes, enjoying spectacular views along the way. Visit Machu Picchu with a guided tour of this iconic Inca citadel, set high in the Andes. Return by train to the Sacred Valley, with free time to explore the village.

Day 6 – Sacred Valley → Cusco

Travel onward to Cusco, with the option to join an optional full-day Sacred Valley excursion visiting Chinchero, Moray and Ollantaytambo. Arrive in Cusco and enjoy the evening at leisure in the historic city centre.

Day 7 – Cusco at Leisure

Free day to explore Cusco independently. Optional half-day city tour available, including the Cathedral, Koricancha Temple and the artistic San Blas neighbourhood.

Day 8 – Cusco → Iquitos

Fly to Iquitos, the gateway to the Northern Amazon. Transfer to your hotel and relax ahead of your rainforest adventure.

Day 9 – Iquitos → Amazon Rainforest

Travel by boat into the Amazon rainforest, witnessing the dramatic “wedding of rivers” where the Nanay and Amazon Rivers meet. Enjoy guided jungle walks, wildlife spotting and authentic Amazonian flavours. Full-board dining begins.
Overnight: Amazon Lodge

Day 10 – Amazon Rainforest

Rise early for birdwatching before visiting a local Indigenous community to learn about traditional customs and crafts. Later, enjoy fishing experiences and a guided night jungle walk to discover nocturnal wildlife.

Day 11 – Amazon Rainforest

Explore Amazonian lagoons in search of the giant Victoria Regia water lily. End the day with a tranquil sunset over the river, surrounded by the sounds of the jungle.

Day 12 – Amazon → Iquitos → Lima

Enjoy a final canoeing experience before returning to Iquitos. After a farewell lunch, fly back to Lima and transfer to your hotel.

Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK or Ireland, bringing your Peruvian adventure to a close.
