Spend a blissful week on the Sorrento Peninsula, overlooking the glittering Bay of Naples, and discover the highlights of the Neapolitan Riviera. Walk through the remarkably preserved ruins of Roman Pompeii, take in the colourful streets of Naples, and travel the famous Amalfi Drive, one of Europe’s most spectacular coastal roads.
A full day on the Isle of Capri is a real highlight, with a jet-foil crossing, a visit to hilltop Anacapri and time in the island’s beautiful Augustus Gardens. With seven nights’ half board, included excursions and an experienced tour manager throughout, there’s still plenty of time to relax and enjoy charming Sorrento at your own pace.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1 – London Heathrow → Naples → Sorrento
Fly to Naples, where your tour manager meets you for the scenic drive around the Bay of Naples to your hotel on the Sorrento Peninsula.
Overnight: Sant’Agnello, Sorrento
Day 2 – Day at Leisure in Sorrento
Relax at the hotel or explore clifftop Sorrento. Its lively Piazza Tasso is the perfect spot to watch the evening passeggiata over a drink.

Day 3 – Pompeii & Naples
Explore the ruins of Pompeii with a local guide, seeing the villas, temples and frescoed houses buried by Vesuvius in 79AD. Continue to Naples for a panoramic tour of its UNESCO-listed centre, including Piazza del Plebiscito, the San Carlo Opera House, the Royal Palace and the views from Posillipo Hill.

Day 4 – The Amalfi Drive
Travel one of Europe’s most scenic coastal roads, taking in the view over the pastel-coloured houses of Positano. Visit the beautiful town of Amalfi, with its striking cathedral, then take a shuttle to lively Maiori and its seafront promenade.
Overnight: Sant’Agnello, Sorrento
Day 5 – At Leisure or Optional Campania Countryside Tour
Relax in Sorrento, or join an optional tour of the old town and the surrounding countryside, visiting a wine cellar, an olive press and a farm where mozzarella is still made by hand.

Day 6 – The Isle of Capri
Take the 20-minute jet-foil crossing to Capri. Travel by minibus up to the village of Anacapri, with the option of a chair-lift ride to the top of Monte Solaro (payable locally), then visit the Augustus Gardens, with their spectacular views over the sea.
Overnight: Sant’Agnello, Sorrento
Day 7 – At Leisure or Optional Herculaneum Tour
Enjoy a final day in Sorrento, or join an optional visit to Herculaneum, the beautifully preserved Roman town also destroyed by Vesuvius, with its thermal baths, mosaics and the Villa of the Papyri.
Overnight: Sant’Agnello, Sorrento
Day 8 – Naples → London Heathrow
Transfer to Naples airport for your flight home.
